Kristina Gibson earned her doctorate in Geography at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her research interests include social services, public space, ethnography and the socio-spatial behaviors of street and homeless youth. She is currently working on a book about policing, street outreach and street kids in New York City. Her teaching focuses on urban geography, urban history, service learning, and critical youth studies.
